Standard Deviation

Description

Calculating Standard Deviation is a required skill in A Level Biology. It is also an integral part of some statistical tests, including the Student's t-tests. This workpack will go through two methods to calculate standard deviation that you might find in an exam.

Using the worked examples, you will learn how to work out the standard deviation of data using the formula (which will be provided to you in the exam) and how to calculate standard deviation using the STAT mode on your calculator. This pack will also teach you how to plot error bars on graphs and how to interpret them.

You can put your knowledge to the test throughout the pack with the practice examples and questions. All answers are provided.
